Adv. Maitreyee Mishra has completed her LLB from Amity Law School, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. After that she has done her LLM in International Business Law from National University of Singapore, Singapore. She is currently practicing at the High Court of Delhi. She has assisted Mr. T.R.B Sivakumar, Advocate on Record, Supreme Court of India in drafting Special Leave Petitions, counters and rejoinders; and in researching for matters related to land acquisition, urban land ceiling and taxation, labour and employment disputes, road safety and motor vehicle rules implementation, land acquisition for town planning and urban development, winding up of companies etc. She has provided legal opinion and drafted notices and petitions in matters related to lease, recovery of property and other contractual disputes, matrimonial matters, electricity trading disputes etc. Earlier, Adv. Maitreyee has worked as legal consultant with an association of private power producers, with the role of conducting hearings before courts, tribunals and regulatory commissions; drafting petitions, replies, providing legal opinions etc.; advising on case strategies; drafting and reviewing power purchase agreements and renewable energy certificate facilitation agreements etc. She has worked on disputes between licensees and generating companies; petition for implementation of emission norms for thermal plants, petitions for issuance of renewable energy certificates before the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission, and a petition challenging applicability of Goods and Services Tax on Renewable Energy Certificates; handled arbitrations for the association and related companies etc. She has also worked as Associate, Office of Mr. K.V. Vijayakumar, Advocate on Record and Standing Counsel for the state of Tamil Nadu, at Supreme Court of India. She has drafted special leave petitions and civil appeals, counters, rejoinders and interlocutory applications; carried out case law and legislation research, and assisted in court arguments and client briefings in various civil and commercial law areas. Her work highlights were in dafting and court arguments in batch of cases related to NEET admission and counselling for medical colleges in state of Tamil Nadu, sand quarrying rights of the State and environmental repercussions, land revenue and acquisition matters for State Government etc.
