Roopali Mohan is a Delhi-based lawyer. She has completed her graduation in law from Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, and a Masters's in Corporate and Financial Law from Jindal Global Law School, O.P. Jindal Global University, both with distinction. During her law graduation, Her electives were election laws, banking and insurance laws, and criminology, and during master's, she has extensively covered subjects like company laws, mergers and acquisitions, insolvency laws, laws of banking and finance, and commercial contract drafting. Over the past four years, Roopali has advised and represented her clients in civil and commercial litigation and arbitration and defended her clients in financial crime litigation. She also received appreciation from Hon’ble judges for her arguments, which was highly encouraging for her to start her independent law practice. As an independent counsel, she advises and represents clients in commercial and property law disputes, check bounce, recovery suits, arbitration and mediation, banking and insurance, writs, consumer protection, service matters, and white-collar crimes before the Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court, District Courts of Delhi and Gurugram, as well as the Debt Recovery Tribunal, Central Administrative Tribunal, and Consumer Forums. Some of my notable projects include the following: • Drafted and filed writ petitions and argued before the High Courts of Delhi and Punjab and Haryana on issues involving banking laws, customs laws, and the law of arbitration. • Rendered legal opinion on the challenge to an arbitration award involving an Indian statutory corporation engaged in the generation of electricity. • Defended two key management personnel of a renowned lingerie brand in a false sexual harassment case. • Drafted arbitration statement of claim and represented one of the largest QSR operators in India in an arbitration before the Delhi International Arbitration Centre. • Drafted bail applications and successfully defended clients accused of white-collar crimes. • Drafted contracts, MOUs, and legal notices for a renowned technology company. • Drafted an urgent application under Section 9 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, and got a favorable order from the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi on a public holiday against an Indian statutory body engaged in civil aviation • Advised a client on the interplay of competition law, consumer protection laws, and real estate laws in relation to a builder buyer's agreement. • Drafted and reviewed contracts relating to partnerships, employment, and tenancy. • Represented a leading public sector bank in SARFAESI proceedings, insurance claims, and consumer cases. • Drafted writ petitions, special leave petitions, letters of patent appeal, and legal opinions and represented clients in matters arising out of property disputes, tenancy laws, cheque dishonor, matrimonial disputes, and consumer disputes.
