Rajiv Ranjan has worked in the General Insurance Industry for more than 32 years, in Public as well as Private Sector. He was responsible for claims for most of this time and handled claims of different variety, including Fire, Engineering, Marine (Export, Import, Inland, General Average), Motor (Own Damage & Third Party Liability), Personal Accident, Workmen's' Compensation, Liability, Health, and almost every other variety. He has directly supervised the work of several Legal Officers in several states handling Motor Third Party Liability Claims and Consumer Disputes in hundreds of Motor Accident Claims Tribunals, several High Courts, hundreds of District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forums (now Commissions) and several State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commissions. He has had personal interactions with hundreds of advocates during the time he was responsible for claims, both legal and otherwise. He has been writing regularly on LinkedIn on Motor Third Party Liability matters, Marine Insurance Claims matters, and some other insurance topics. Though insurance is the at the core of his legal expertise, he is interested in certain other Civil matters as well, particularly Contract and Tort Law.
